American Nature Painter, Judith Saylor in the Everglades.

This is a recent photo of Judy after a guided air boat tour through the swamps and open waters of Lake Okeechobee, Florida, by Captain Reece Johnson.  Here the Everglades begins, the inspiration for Marjory Stoneman Douglas's, "River of Grass".

Judy experienced the unparalleled beauty of both native plants and wildlife, that are so abundant in this isolated wilderness.  The survival of the Everglades is quintessential to the survival of Florida.  And so it is, that we must continue to preserve and protect our future and that of the generations to come both human and wildlife.

Watch this site for future paintings of the Everglades.  They will offer a myopic view of life, for those who are not fortunate enough to see it in person.
